Spa Etiquette

We are a small boutique spa and during busy times space may be limited. Your massage or spa appointment is reserved especially for you. Please keep in mind that “no-shows” or late cancellations leave our therapists with empty appointment slots, and disappointed guests who may have been turned away. In order to provide you and other clients with exceptional customer service and access to appointments during peak times, we have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy. Please note that appointments made the same day are subject to our cancellation policy as well.

Request an Appointment Online

A valid credit card number or gift certificate number is required to reserve your appointment time. Using our online scheduler, you will be prompted to create a log in name and password to create your own profile on our secure site. Please make sure you enter your credit card information into the billing info section on your profile in order for your appointment to be booked promptly. We use a secure system, so you can be sure your information is safe.

Booking an Appointment by Phone

When booking by phone you will be asked to provide a valid credit card number or a valid gift certificate number to hold your appointment. Please note that no charges will be made to your credit card until your service is completed. Upon completion you'll be able to pay for your services with your choice of Visa, MasterCard, American Express or cash. Personal checks are not accepted.

 

Check In

Please check in at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow for a relaxed check in, fill out necessary paperwork and to avoid a reduced treatment time.


Cancellation/Late Policy

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we require a minimum of 24-hours notice. Please call our studio at 443.540.4022 as soon as possible if a cancellation or change to your appointment is needed. E-mail cancellations/changes are not accepted. Please note that appointments made the same day are subject to our cancellation policy as well.   

Because Apothecary Wellness Spa is by appointment only, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and we request that you acknowledge and respect our cancellation policy. We regret that we cannot make exceptions to our 24-hour cancellation policy unless it is a valid emergency of which documentation may be required.  

  • Cancellation or reschedule without 24 hours notice - 50% of the service price will be charged ($35 for members)
  • Failure to show without notice – 100% of the service price will be charged (session is voided for members)
  • Please also understand that arriving late may limit the time available for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not inconvenienced, or our staff's schedule is not extended and the full treatment price will apply. Your timely arrival is appreciated. If you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment, the therapist has the right to refuse the service, and you will be charged 50% of the service price.

     

    Illness

    A cold is a viral contagious disease that can easily be passed to your therapist or other clients. In addition, receiving a massage or facial when you are sick is not a good idea. Massage (including facial massage) is intended to circulate your lymph and blood and can over stimulate your immune system in an attempt to detoxify and make you feel worse.  

    It is our policy that we will not work on anyone who is exhibiting cold or flu symptoms, for the health and wellness of our staff and other clients. We ask that if you have a cold, fever or the flu, or feel as though one is coming on, please re-schedule your treatment. Please note that our cancellation policy is in effect for all late cancellations. 

    If you have a cold or similar illness, when you arrive for your appointment, you will be asked to re-schedule your appointment. In this instance your credit card will be charged 50% of your total service (equivalent deduction from a gift certificate, $35 for members).  This covers your therapist's salary and our overhead costs for the missed appointment.

    Please wait until you have been well for a week before getting your treatment.  This is for your well being as well as to prevent passing your cold or flu on to your therapist and other clients.

    In return, your therapist will not work on you if they are feeling sick. We wouldn't want to pass anything along to you either.

    If you do need to re-schedule your appointment, please call us as soon as possible and we will be happy to re-schedule you when you are feeling better.

     

    Appointment Confirmations & Reminders

    We use an automated e-mail service for all confirmations and reminders. When booking an appointment you should receive an e-mail with your service description, appointment time, date and which therapist you are working with. You should also receive an appointment reminder 48 hours in advance of your appointment.

    ***Although our automatic reservation system does send out reminder emails 48 hours in advance, these are strictly a courtsey and are not a requirement to appear for a service. Email in general is not always reliable, sometimes emails are late, go directly into your junk mail folder or don't show up at all. All these things are out of our control. We recommend that clients note the date/time of their services through other means because ultimately each person is responsible to remember their scheduled appointment or cancelling withing 24 hours.***  

     

    Children & Minimun Age

    Our services at Apothecary Wellness Spa are designed for guests 18 years of age or older. Teenagers are allowed to receive certain services and MUST be accompanied by an adult. No children are allowed in the spa area. You will be asked to reschedule your appointment if you bring your child and a 50% charge will be applied. Please contact us if you can't make arrangements for your child within 24 hours.
